A hands-on homemade feeding cook-along with Mystic Dog Mama
There’s something so empowering about making your dog’s food yourself.
Not because there’s one perfect formula to follow, but because when you understand what goes into the bowl and why, you can make more thoughtful choices for your dog.
In this intimate, hands-on cook-along, we’ll explore the foundations of homemade feeding, including both raw and gently cooked approaches.
You’ll make a batch of food for your own dog using ingredients you purchase in advance, while I guide you through the process and help you understand how those ingredients contribute to your dog’s nourishment.
Join the first edition
You're joining the very first Mystic Dog Mama Fresh Food Cook-Along, with just 8 places available.
To celebrate the launch, and while I refine the format for future workshops, this first edition is being offered at a special introductory beta price of £35.
After the workshop, I'll invite participants to share their thoughts and feedback to help shape future cook-alongs.
Future workshops will be priced at £50.
A different way of thinking about the bowl
This isn't about following a fixed recipe forever.
I'll teach you how to approach homemade feeding as an intentional practice of variety and rotation — choosing nourishing ingredients thoughtfully and understanding what your dog needs from their food both daily and over the course of a week.
We'll explore:
How the cook-along works
Allow approximately 2.5–3 hours for the live workshop.
Before the workshop, you'll receive a shopping list and preparation guidance so you can purchase your ingredients and have everything ready in your kitchen.
Once you've purchased your ticket, I'll also email you a registration form to gather some information about your dog ahead of the workshop. This will help me tailor the session to the dogs taking part.
Then we'll cook together, step by step.
I'll talk you through what we're doing, explain the why behind the ingredients and choices, and help you think about your own dog's needs along the way.
You'll make as much food as you've chosen to purchase and prepare on the day — potentially a full batch for your dog.
A replay will also be available, so you can return to the session afterwards or catch up if you're unable to attend live.
A small group experience
With just 8 places available, there will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions and learn alongside other dog guardians.
Is this workshop right for you?
This workshop is designed for healthy adult dogs.
It's for guardians who want to explore homemade feeding and develop a more intentional, varied approach to nourishing their dogs. It isn't designed for dogs with diagnosed health conditions or complex dietary needs, or for puppies and pregnant or lactating dogs. It's also not for guardians who want a fixed recipe to follow. This way of feeding is much closer to how we feed ourselves, but gives you the understanding of which foods contain the nutrients your dog's body needs, and in what quantities.
A few important notes
I am a canine nutrition and wellbeing practitioner, not a veterinarian. This is an educational workshop and isn't a substitute for veterinary care or individualized veterinary advice.
If you're preparing raw food, you'll need to follow appropriate food-safety, hygiene, handling and storage practices in your own kitchen. Please also consider whether raw food preparation is appropriate for your household.
8 places available — £35 for the first edition.
